How the Keller TKO Pump/Skimmer works:
The self-priming air operated pump pulls the
tramp oil/coolant mixture from the surface of the sump through the
floating inlet device, then through a cartridge filter which removes any
chips from the fluid. The oil/coolant mixture is then pumped through
the patented Keller all-plastic separator element immersed in a separator
tank. The cleaned coolant continuously returns to the sump. The oil
layer collects on the top of the separator tank and is occasionally drained
into a waste oil container, simply by opening the oil drain valve. No
other operator attention is required. |

PhaSep Separator Tramp Oil Removal System
The unique floating
pick-up skims the tramp oil and coolant mix from the top of the machine
sump. As the liquid moves slowly through the patented steel coalescing
plates, oil droplets as small as 20 microns are separated from the
coolant and rise to the top of the PhaSep unit. When the oil layer
builds up sufficiently in the unit, it passes over a specially-designed
weir, and is trapped away from the clean coolant. The oil can then be
removed periodically through the waste oil drain. Coolant, cleaned of
99% of contaminated oils, is returned directly to the machine sump
|
Simple Payback -- Oil
contamination is the number one cause of metal working fluid disposal.

Minimal Maintenance -- Any
coalescing system requires maintenance, but PhaSep requires little
maintenance. Cleaning takes only minutes with the removable plate
packs and is recommended 3 to 4 times per year. All steel
construction and no internal wear parts provide years of continuous
service. These patented steel plates are impervious to oil
contamination associated with plastic coalescing media. |

Processing Capability --
Positive coolant flow, superior float design, and simple oil separation
are key success factors. Unlike competitive belt and wheel
skimmers, the PhaSep draws coolant into the coalescing box at a minimum
rate of 1000 gallons per day. Frequent tank volume turnover
guarantees oil removal. The Tri-Ball Float captures the oil where
it accumulates most, at the surface of the coolant. A simple weir
dam arrangement captures the oil and sends it to a holding tank for
disposal. Clean coolant is gravity fed back to the machine sump.

How the Zebra Muscle Coalescer works: Fill the drum with 12 gallons of freshly mixed coolant.
Connect
the inlet hose to the pump. Place the pump in the coolant sump.
Secure
the clean coolant discharge hose from the pump to the drum. Plug it in
(110V,60Hz grounded outlet required.) The Zebra Muscle Coalescer F15 oil skimmer
